In this guide
  1. Define the executive support outcome
  2. Match role scope to leadership cadence
  3. Use a structured selection process

Define the role

Ask each interviewer to record evidence against the agreed criteria before discussion. Include the scenario, the candidate's action, the reasoning shown, and the boundary or risk that remains uncertain.

Set the operating model

Discuss disagreement by criterion, not by overall enthusiasm. A panel should distinguish missing evidence from a genuine concern and avoid rewarding the loudest interpretation of executive presence.

Choose with care

End with a decision, unresolved check, and role-scope note. If the panel cannot agree because the job itself is unclear, fix the brief before evaluating another candidate.
