In this guide
  1. Define the executive support outcome
  2. Match role scope to leadership cadence
  3. Use a structured selection process

Define the role

List the agenda question before collecting documents. For each item, name the accountable executive, current evidence, unresolved risk, requested board input, and date the material must be ready.

Set the operating model

A liaison can check that sources are current, versions are controlled, and gaps are visible. The liaison should not turn incomplete evidence into a confident conclusion or answer for the executive owner.

Choose with care

Use the map during final review and after the meeting. Close items that became decisions, preserve requests that need follow-up, and carry unresolved evidence gaps into the next cycle.
