In this guide
  1. Define the executive support outcome
  2. Match role scope to leadership cadence
  3. Use a structured selection process

Define the role

Map the recurring peak, the workflows that cannot pause, preparation lead time, expected interruptions, and the executive decisions that must remain visible. A peak plan begins with demand shape, not a generic availability promise.

Set the operating model

Assign primary and backup ownership by workflow, define what can be deferred, and set the escalation path for competing priorities. More coverage does not remove the need for an accountable executive to choose tradeoffs.

Choose with care

Review the plan after the peak using missed handoffs, rework, delayed decisions, and unnecessary access exceptions. Carry forward only the changes supported by real examples.
